AIA MIAmi CHAPTER INTERIOR DESIGNER OF THE YEAR 2006
Marlene Liriano has been honored by the Miami Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) with the 2006 Interior Designer of the Year Award. This award was presented for excellence in leadership and notable interior design performance.
Ms. Liriano has practiced in South Florida for the past 22 years and for the last five years, has built a successful interiors practice for the Miami office of Perkins+Will. She is a Principal with the firm and as Interior Design Director, she oversees a group of highly talented designers.
In the past year, several projects have been honored with design awards including Contract Magazine’s Healthcare Environments Award, a Design Forum Award from the Florida Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and a Design Finalist Award from the AIA Miami Chapter.
As Design Principal, Ms. Liriano mentors the design teams to deliver projects which are innovative without being trendy, well designed without complexity. Every space is conceived from the client's vision and with sustainability in mind, positively influencing the lives of those who will use and enjoy these spaces.
